1. Acceptance of Rules
Welcome to The Final Five, an online puzzle adventure organized by Treasure Trek (the “Organizer”).
By registering for or participating in The Final Five (the “Competition”), you agree to these Official Competition Rules, applicable website terms, and the Organizer’s reasonable instructions for administering the Competition.
Participation is voluntary. Individuals who do not agree to these rules should not register or participate.
The Competition is intended to reward puzzle-solving ability, observation, reasoning, and speed. It is not a random drawing or lottery.
2. No Purchase Necessary
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN THE MAIN FINAL FIVE COMPETITION.
Registration and participation in the main six-day Competition are free.
The Organizer may offer optional Side Quests involving additional puzzles and separate rewards. Purchasing Side Quest access is not required to enter, participate in, qualify for, or win the main Competition.
Purchasing Side Quests does not increase a participant’s score, improve their ranking, provide additional main Competition submissions, or give access to main Competition solutions.
3. Eligibility
Participation and prize eligibility are subject to the following requirements:
- Participants must satisfy the minimum age and geographic eligibility requirements published by the Organizer.
- Participants must reside in a jurisdiction where participation and receipt of prizes are lawful.
- Participants must provide accurate registration information.
- Participants must maintain only one Competition account.
- Participants must comply with these rules and applicable laws.
The following eligibility requirements apply:
- Minimum age: Eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of registration.
- Eligible countries, states, or regions: Open to individuals who reside anywhere in the world, except in the places listed on the Eligibility page.
- Excluded jurisdictions, if any: See the Eligibility page for the current list of restricted places.
- Organizer, employee, contractor, family-member, and other conflict-of-interest exclusions: Employees, contractors, developers, judges, and other individuals directly involved in creating or administering The Final Five, together with members of their immediate families and households, are not eligible to win prizes.
The Organizer may request reasonable proof of identity, age, residency, and eligibility before awarding prizes.
Registration does not guarantee prize eligibility.
4. Registration and Explorer Accounts
Participants must register through the official Treasure Trek website and create an explorer account.
Each participant may maintain only one account and compete as one individual.
Participants are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials and for activity conducted through their accounts.
Creating duplicate accounts, using false identities, impersonating another participant, or circumventing account restrictions is prohibited.
Each registered explorer may receive a unique Expedition Key and personalized game elements. These are intended for the assigned participant and should not be shared for the purpose of gaining an unfair competitive advantage.
5. Competition Schedule
The Final Five is scheduled to begin November 2, 2026, and continue through November 7, 2026.
The Competition consists of:
- Days 1–5: Daily qualifying puzzle challenges.
- Day 6: A three-stage championship for the five highest-ranked qualifying participants.
Daily challenges are scheduled to unlock at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Mountain Standard Time (MST), using the America/Denver time zone. This is 19:00 UTC.
Each daily challenge closes when the next challenge opens.
The official game server determines unlock times, deadlines, elapsed time, and submission timestamps.
Participants are responsible for accounting for their local time zone.
The Day 6 championship opens at 12:00 p.m. MST on November 7, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. MST the same day (06:59 UTC on November 8).
If a material schedule change becomes necessary, the Organizer will provide notice through the official website or registered participant communications.
6. Daily Puzzle Participation
During Days 1–5, participants may complete one qualifying challenge per day.
Each daily challenge includes puzzles, clues, or interactive tasks designed to test observation, logic, deduction, and other problem-solving skills.
Participants must complete the challenge according to the instructions displayed within the game.
Some challenges may include intermediate interactions or provisional answers before the final scored submission.
Only the final scored submission determines the participant’s result for that challenge.
7. Timing and Submissions
Each daily challenge has an individual elapsed-time timer.
The timer begins when the participant activates the challenge’s Start function.
Once started, the timer continues running even if the participant closes the browser, leaves the website, or disconnects from the internet.
Closing the page does not pause the timer.
Participants are allowed one final scored submission per daily challenge.
Once submitted, a final answer cannot be changed, withdrawn, or replaced.
Answers submitted after the applicable challenge deadline will not count unless the Organizer has expressly authorized an extension or correction under these rules.
Participants should ensure that their device, internet connection, and browser are functioning before beginning a timed challenge.
The server’s official records govern elapsed time and submission status, subject to correction of verified administrative or technical errors.
8. Scoring and Qualifying Rankings
For each of the first five daily challenges:
- Correct final answer: 1 point.
- Incorrect final answer: 0 points.
- Missed or unsubmitted challenge: 0 points.
A participant may earn up to five qualifying points.
Participants are ranked primarily by total qualifying points.
Ties in points are broken by the fastest total time to reach their correct solutions.
Incorrect or missed challenges score no points and add no time.
If participants are still tied on total time, the participant who finished first ranks higher. For example, if two participants reach a correct solution in the same time, the one who started earlier finished earlier and ranks higher.
Finishing time is the time of the participant’s final submission, as recorded by the game server.
Correctness is not necessarily revealed immediately after submission.
The Organizer may withhold answers and detailed scoring information until doing so will not compromise competitive fairness.
At the end of Day 5, the five highest-ranked eligible participants advance to the championship, subject to verification and resolution of any ties or irregularities.
9. The Final Five Championship
The five qualifying finalists advance to the Day 6 championship.
Qualifying scores reset for championship purposes. Each finalist begins the championship with an equal competitive starting position.
The championship consists of three stages.
Final championship rankings are determined by performance under the championship’s published scoring and timing procedures.
The championship is scored the same way as the qualifying challenges. Each finalist is ranked by the number of correct solutions. Ties are broken by the fastest time to reach the correct solutions, and then by who finished first, as described in section 8.
All three stages must be completed between the opening of the championship at 12:00 p.m. MST and its closing at 11:59 p.m. MST on November 7, 2026.
Only the five qualifying finalists enter the championship. However, all participants may attempt the final challenge.
Recreational participation does not create eligibility for the five main championship prizes.
10. Main Competition Prizes
The total advertised main Competition prize pool is $2,000 USD, distributed as follows:
| Final Placement | Cash Prize |
|---|---|
| First place | $1,000 |
| Second place | $400 |
| Third place | $300 |
| Fourth place | $200 |
| Fifth place | $100 |
| Total | $2,000 |
Prizes are awarded to the five eligible finalists according to verified championship rankings.
The main Competition prizes are separate from optional Side Quest rewards and referral rewards.
No purchase is required to win any of the five main Competition prizes.
Prizes are not transferable before award.
Winners are responsible for applicable taxes and legally required reporting obligations.
The Organizer may require identity verification and appropriate tax documentation before payment.
Winners will be notified by email at the address on their account. Prizes will be paid within thirty (30) days after the formal account review described in section 16. Payment method: [TO BE CONFIRMED].
11. Referral Rewards
Treasure Trek may award a $100 referral reward to an eligible participant who refers another participant who ultimately finishes among the five main Competition prize winners.
A participant who finishes among the final five is not eligible to receive a referral reward.
Referrals must be recorded through the Organizer’s approved referral system and must represent genuine, eligible participants.
Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fraudulent referrals, or attempts to manipulate referral attribution are prohibited.
The Organizer may verify the identity of both the referring participant and the referred finalist.
Each participant may receive no more than one referral reward in total, no matter how many qualifying participants they referred. A participant who wins a main Competition prize may not also receive a referral reward.
Both the referring participant and the referred participant must be eligible participants under section 3. This means each is eighteen (18) years of age or older and lives in an eligible place.
The following must still be finalized before publication:
- How competing referral claims are resolved.
No referral reward is guaranteed merely because an invitation was sent or a person registered.
12. Optional Side Quests
Side Quests are optional additional puzzle adventures offered separately from the main Final Five Competition.
Participants may choose to participate in the main Competition without purchasing Side Quests.
The initial Side Quest access package is intended to provide nine bronze access coins for a total purchase price of $9.99 USD.
These purchased access coins are used to unlock Side Quest challenges. Once used, they are consumed and are not themselves earned cash prizes.
Side Quests may offer separate treasure rewards or cash prizes, governed by their own published rules.
Side Quest rewards do not affect the main Competition’s $2,000 prize pool or qualifying rankings.
Side Quest content may reference the Competition’s story but must not provide actionable hints, solutions, or unfair advantages for main Competition challenges.
The Side Quest prize fund, award structure, eligibility, purchase terms, refund provisions, and redemption rules must be separately disclosed and legally reviewed before any paid Side Quest offering is activated.
These Official Competition Rules do not independently authorize or establish the legality of paid Side Quests.
13. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct
The Final Five is intended to be a fair individual puzzle-solving competition.
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Registering or competing through multiple accounts.
- Using another person’s identity.
- Accessing another participant’s account.
- Sharing unreleased puzzle answers or confidential game materials to manipulate rankings.
- Coordinating submissions to circumvent individual competition requirements.
- Exploiting software bugs, security weaknesses, or unintended access paths.
- Attempting to modify timers, scores, submissions, or server records.
- Using automated scripts or bots to submit answers or interfere with the Competition.
- Tampering with website operations or other participants’ accounts.
- Harassing, threatening, or impersonating other participants or the Organizer.
No outside help is allowed. The challenges are meant to test an individual’s personal skill.
Outside help includes assistance from other people, artificial intelligence tools, and internet research or search services.
Notes, paper, and a calculator are allowed.
Any restrictions must be communicated consistently to participants.
The Organizer may investigate suspected misconduct and take proportionate action, including warnings, invalidation of affected submissions, or disqualification.
Participants should receive an opportunity to explain disputed conduct where reasonably practicable.
14. Technical Issues
The Competition is conducted through an online platform and requires compatible devices, software, and internet access.
Participants are responsible for their own equipment and connectivity.
The Organizer is not responsible for ordinary participant-side interruptions, including device failures, loss of internet access, or accidentally closing a browser.
However, the Organizer may investigate credible reports of platform-wide failures, server errors, corrupted scoring records, or other technical issues affecting fair administration.
If a verified technical problem materially affects the Competition, the Organizer may take reasonable corrective action, including restoring affected records, adjusting deadlines, or rerunning an affected challenge when necessary.
Corrective actions should be applied consistently to similarly affected participants.
The Organizer will not arbitrarily alter rankings or award outcomes.
Technical problems should be reported promptly to:
Reports should include the participant’s account information, challenge, approximate time, device, browser, and a description of the problem.
15. Verification and Disqualification
All potential winners are subject to verification.
The Organizer may review server logs, account records, submission history, timing data, and other reasonably relevant evidence.
A participant may be disqualified for material violations of these rules, fraudulent conduct, ineligibility, or conduct that compromises Competition integrity.
If a finalist is disqualified, the Organizer may advance the next eligible qualifying participant or apply another previously disclosed procedure appropriate to the Competition stage.
Decisions will be made in good faith using the published rules and available evidence.
16. Winner Notification and Prize Claims
Potential winners will be contacted through the email address or account communication method associated with their registration.
Winners may be required to:
- Confirm identity and eligibility.
- Provide payment information through an approved secure process.
- Complete legally required tax forms.
- Respond within the published claim period.
- Confirm acceptance of the applicable prize.
Participants are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information.
If a potential winner is ineligible, cannot be verified, declines a prize, or fails to complete required claim procedures within the disclosed deadline, the Organizer may award the prize according to the published alternate-winner procedure.
Potential winners have one (1) week after the prize notice to claim their prize.
After a prize is claimed, the Organizer will take up to one (1) week to formally review the winner’s account.
Prizes will be paid within thirty (30) days after that review is complete.
If a potential winner does not respond in time, cannot be verified, or is disqualified, the prize will go to the backup winner: the next-ranked eligible participant.
17. Publicity and Participant Privacy
The Organizer may announce Competition results and identify winners using reasonable public-facing information, such as an explorer display name, placement, and prize amount.
Any use of a winner’s legal name, photograph, testimonial, or likeness for promotional purposes will be subject to applicable law and any required consent.
Participants retain ownership of their personal information, subject to the website’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
The Organizer will use registration and gameplay information for Competition administration, security, support, prize verification, and other disclosed purposes.
Personal information will not be publicly disclosed merely because a participant registers.
18. Intellectual Property
Treasure Trek and The Final Five may include original stories, puzzles, illustrations, maps, characters, graphics, software, designs, trademarks, and other protected materials.
These materials belong to the Organizer or their respective rights holders.
Participants receive a limited, personal, noncommercial permission to access and use the materials for authorized participation.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, sell, republish, or commercially exploit protected Competition materials without permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
Participants may discuss their experiences and share permitted promotional content, subject to the fair-play requirements and any announced spoiler restrictions.
19. Changes, Suspension, or Cancellation
The Organizer may make reasonable administrative changes necessary to correct errors, maintain security, or preserve fair Competition operations.
Material changes affecting eligibility, prizes, scoring, or deadlines should be avoided after the Competition begins.
If extraordinary circumstances make continuation impossible or materially compromise fairness, the Organizer may suspend, reschedule, or cancel an affected portion of the Competition, subject to applicable law.
The Organizer will provide reasonable notice and explain how existing results and prize obligations will be handled.
The Organizer will not use this provision to arbitrarily reduce or avoid advertised prize commitments.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer is not responsible for losses arising from ordinary internet interruptions, participant device problems, unauthorized access caused by a participant’s failure to safeguard credentials, or circumstances outside the Organizer’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these rules excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits participants’ nonwaivable statutory rights.
By participating, you release the Organizer and its owners, employees, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, or damages related to your participation in the Competition, or to receiving or using a prize, as far as the law allows.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer’s total responsibility to you for any claim related to the Competition is limited to the value of the prize you won, if any, or otherwise to your actual out-of-pocket costs of participating. The Organizer is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits.
Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Have counsel review this section before launch.
21. Disputes and Questions
Participants who believe a scoring, eligibility, or prize decision was made incorrectly should contact the Organizer promptly and provide relevant details.
The Organizer will review good-faith disputes using the published rules and available Competition records.
Disputes must be submitted within thirty (30) days after the result, decision, or notice being disputed.
These rules and the Competition are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Before starting any legal action, participants agree to contact the Organizer at the email address below and to try in good faith to resolve the dispute for at least thirty (30) days.
Any dispute that is not resolved will be decided only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Utah, and participants agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Participants agree to bring claims only on an individual basis, and not as part of a class, group, or representative action.
Nothing in this section removes rights that the law of a participant’s home country says cannot be removed.

22. General Conditions
If any provision of these rules is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Failure to enforce a provision in one instance does not necessarily waive the right to enforce it in another.
These Official Competition Rules, together with expressly incorporated challenge-specific instructions and applicable website terms, govern participation in The Final Five.
Where general website terms conflict with these Official Competition Rules regarding the Competition, these Official Competition Rules control.
By registering, participants acknowledge that they have had an opportunity to review these rules and agree to comply with them.
